Paris grew up in Cleveland, Ohio in a musical family. Her mother was classically trained and her father played jazz Hammond B-3 organ. Having studied music theory and piano at age 5, Paris sang in her church gospel choir at age 8, and professionally at age 14. Paris has performed with Michael Bolton, Herbie Hancock, Stevie Wonder, Ronnie Laws and with Cirque du Soleil's Zumanity.
